+1. We are here in SH (have a house - not one of the new crazy $$$ ones) and my understanding is that many of the newer huge homes are owned by developers/investment cos that use them to make $$$ rental income. More and more of the people we meet on the beach are in huge groups of multiple families who go in on a rental house and pay upwards of $15K a week (or more!). We’ve been coming here for 25 years and every summer now when we first arrive we look to see how many more of the old cute house have been razed in favor of huge mansions. And the owners of The Reeds are slowly taking over downtown. BUT it still has beautiful beaches and we’ll still keep coming because of that.

*And FWIW, when we take our young and teenage kids to the Boardwalk on occasion for rides, we go to Wildwood.

Just because you can no longer afford it doesn’t mean it still isn’t great.

Literally said “ Stone Harbor is awesome”. Stone Harbor is awesome.
