Can you make it a family vacation?
She’ll be at sleepaway camp until the date of the last show - which is too bad because my mom lives in Southern California and it would be easy to go there while visiting her!!
She came back this evening with “it’s ok, I don’t NEED to go but I’d still really like to go” so I think she’s calming down a bit.
If she wasn’t already doing sleepaway camp plus a 2.5 week trip to Asia earlier in the summer I would be much more likely to spend the money on this. As it is we are spending over $12,000 on her summer plans alone and that doesn’t include any family travel yet.
And yes, she does babysit her siblings sometimes and I don’t always pay her but I do pay her (or buy her something she wants) some of the time, like for babysitting on a Saturday night. She is a REALLY good kid and ordinarily I’d give her just about anything within reason - but again this isn’t a reasonable request.

Yes, StubHub is charging very high fees. However, I felt most comfortable spending $5K on four tickets with Stubhub and their guarantee vs another venue.
Pittsburgh prices have gotten insane. I wish that I purchased our tickets there a few weeks ago.
They only went down in Nashville on the rain delay night and in Atlanta. You MIGHT be able to score last minute face value on Ticketmaster, but otherwise just decide if this is worth it to you. For the amount of joy that this will bring my family, this was 100% worth it.I do not think the prices are going to come down in Philly or most of the remaining cities.
Anonymous wrote:Regular person here…I bought Pittsburgh resale on Stubhub back in January. I spent more than I wanted to but not an irresponsible amount. Why did I do it?
During Covid we went through a lot. Taylor’s music, particularly the folklore and evermore drops, were an unexpected highlight and brought a lot of joy to our days. When Eras was announced, we realized this was our chance to sing some of these beloved songs live with a huge crowd. Something we couldn’t imagine possible in the height of lockdown and isolation.
For us, the money is well spent. We’ve seen her before and knew we couldn’t miss this one. After being completely locked out of the pre-sale days, resale was the only option for securing tickets. I’d do it again in a heartbeat and I am still hoping for a second pair in a last minute drop.
All that to say, it is an insane amount of money to pay but you only live once.

I tried. Got through the queue and nothing.

If they do, we will buy. If they don't - DD2 and I will have a nice dinner and an adventure. Have a free place to stay in Philly so figured we would go. Based on Nashville, expect to spend $600 on crappy seats.
Well, that's not a bad deal if you get it given that I spent $500 on crappy seats in the initial offering of tickets for Saturday in Philly.
+100
$600 on even the very worst seat is a huge discount right now. The lowest seat that I can find on Tickpicj right now is $1,400.
She does have a catwalk and center diamond where she spends a lot of time, so even if your view is obstructed you'd likely still see her. I guess the worst would be if were seated directly behind the stage, but I saw views from those seats on Tiktok at some of the other venues and they didn't look terrible. Everyone looks like they're having an amazing time floor on up to the nosebleeds. If you can afford it, I say do it. the challenge is that you and your DD2 might not be able to sit together...
