I think it was him I heard on CNN yesterday. I was at work and could only listen so I didn’t see him and I missed his name, but I’m pretty sure I heard her call him congressman. When the interviewer pushed back on the idea that we need more prayers and need to address the problem now, I lost all hope at his response. She said something like, what about people who think prayers aren’t doing enough, and his response was something like they don’t trust god enough. It was ridiculous and I can’t find the quote. Basically they aren’t praying hard enough or believing hard enough, so of course it’s going to keep happening. We’re never going to see change if these are the people in charge.

Uh oh.
Men of any race/ethnicity can be mass shooters. The common denominators are men and guns.

1. Practically nonexistent firearm laws
2. Huge population in 4-5 (arguably) major metro areas
This is going to result in some absolutely horrible mass shootings. It’s just the law of averages, given the huge size of the population.
Caveat emptor.
The mall was a gun-free zone, weird that criminals don’t follow rules
I thought more guns was supposed to make Texas safer than Chicago or California?
No one’s ever opened fire at the Stockyards in Fort Worth. Seems to be a theme here…

I see it in my own husband....Not the violins but the seclusion. When we first got married he met with few friends a few times a month. I love that about him that he would just hang out, go to a game or whatever. But as we've been together for 20 years, I don't think I could name one friend that he actually talks to more than once a year. Typically just wishing them. Happy birthday via text. Does not play any sports. He works from home and I do all of the shopping. I mean he'll go out with us as a family but independently he has no personality or life outside of his computer where he does his work. Just minimal contact with any of his colleagues after COVID.
The world is full of men like your DH. The difference is in other countries, they don’t all have easy access to such deadly weapons.
other countries have acid attacks.
Idiot in the house!
Apparently something you didn't want to hear. Just close your eyes, cover your ears and yell LA LA LA
Come back to us when acid attacks have killed or maimed even a quarter as many people as guns have.
Well, seven people in Brownsville were just killed by an SUV running them over.
Get back to us when that happens on a daily basis like mass shootings too.
Get back to us when you start counting your inner cities.
Getting murdered over a drug deal gone wrong is different than getting randomly murdered at a mall or school. There I said it.

Anonymous wrote:Right, you don't care if any action is taken unless it's banning of all guns or certain guns. Ok. Well, that approach seems to have failed so far and a lot of people are dead.
You're obviously living in another reality. You know what? That's scary. It's the reason we've got so many mass shootings.
