And of course, she was letting her furbaby go up to anyone and everyone without concern for others.
Some kids are not friendly to dogs so maybe she had a bad experience with a bad kid/parents mistreating her dog.
Dogs are far far harder than kids. I wish someone told me before we got one. My kids are so much easier even when they are difficult.

It's also annoying when people bring their dogs into inappropriate spaces (airplanes, stores) usually they are badly behaved
The disdain comes from op's neighbors assuming that the mom with the dog in the stroller gives her dog the same status as humans. It sounds like her neighbor has a legitimate reason for using the stroller so the women criticizing her are birches who just want to birch.

So you are ok with other animals pooping in public? I do agree that dog poop should be picked up and put in public or your own trash
What other animals poop in public, and if they are wild animals, then yes, I'm OK with it.

So you are ok with other animals pooping in public? I do agree that dog poop should be picked up and put in public or your own trash

^Oh, I’ll add that I’m the dog-owning PP, and I admitted early on that—while there are similarities—there are differences between raising dogs and raising babies.

Energy? I’m not wasting energy. I’m wasting time by posting like everyone here. That’s different. Bent out of shape? You just made that up. Nothing I posted indicates I’m bent out of shape. I’m definitely curious about why others are bothered by this.
PP said she is “annoyed” and that she “hates” hearing dog-mom stiff from people. That’s wasted energy, but it’s certainly her right.

This discussion has turned weird. I wanted kids but things didn’t work out thanks to infertility. I love my dog and, yes, pour some of my thwarted need to mother into her but, she is a dog. Cute, fun, cuddly, but a dog. I am not a mom or a “dog mom.”
