Not sure where you think the VA side of the Beltway is but substantially all of the City of Alexandria (including the portion where Saints and Episcopal are) is well inside of it.

This isn't a bad list and it's mostly ranked on academics. I think St. Anselm's is just as good academically but doesn't make the cut for A because it's so small and the non-academic offerings aren't as well rounded.
