NPS parent here and St. Pat’s is an awesome school. NPS is wonderful too. So are lots of others.

The hate on DCUM is cyclical. The pendulum will swing in another direction soon, and people will disparage Beauvoir before moving onto another. Rinse and repeat. Who cares?!

Beauvoir is actually really amazing though. The rest are hit or miss.

Oh no. Beauvoir must be slipping. For years and years on DCUM it was magical. Now it’s simply really amazing.

Not good at all.

Meant to say magical. I misspoke. Don’t be a hater. It’s bad for the soul.

Beauvoir is actually super overrated.

How so? We didn’t apply and really feel like we missed out …

We just started K at Beauvoir on Tuesday and it’s wonderful…but we also loved NPS and St. Pat’s. You didn’t miss out- all of these schools are wonderful in different ways.

“We” started K at Beauvoir on Tuesday? Aren’t you a little old for that, PP?

Wow you are a peach. Wonder what you are like IRL. Insufferable I imagine.

All three are amazing schools! Find the right fit for your child. Mine went to Beauvoir through third and then St. Pat’s till 8th grade. We loved both!

Plus a million on Mr. Brophy. He still is talked about in my house his kindness, his smile, and his biceps lol! My kids still think he is a super hero!!!!

My 25 year old son still goes and visits Mr. Brophy every year at St. Pat’s because he loves being around him. That’s impactful education 😁

I am wondering if he still does the Nutcracker but I can’t remember if that is nursery has been so long. He is also awesome at the kindergarten circus. We had many fun years at that school. Glad Mr. Brophy is still there!!

Former Wolfhounds. Coach Brophy is the best PE teacher/coach. He runs a wonderful program for elementary and middle school students . He is a hero!!! My son is now a division one lacrosse player. The journey began in kindergarten.

NPS is a great school also and students thrive. Mr. Lester is an outstanding leader. Best bet is to visit and have your child do a shadow day. You can’t go wrong with either of these schools.

There are great parents at both schools and also some awful ones. Welcome to Northwest DC 😀

Agree plus a million on Mr Brophy. My daughter still talks about him!!
He is kind and motivating and fun! He also is one of the few people in the world
who can get a long with everyone.

aw this is great to hear! DS just started K at st pats and we are thrilled atm!

+ 1 True. Why drag beauvoir into this?[/quote]

It’s the only other “true elementary” that I could think of. That’s why.
