Now that this opportunity worked out, I am happy we didnt take the slot, I might not have ventured into considering private and overall we feel that this is the best fit for my kid.
Basis did not and dies not have a waitlist
They have a wait pool. Chances are you won’t get off, since it is so many kids waiting for an opportunity to get into the best school in Virginia.

Not a troll.
My kids go to Basis. Number 1 school in DC area for academics. You will have all your kids wishing they could get in in the next few years. I’m sure they will end up being more selective then all of your “Big 3” schools as they decline in academic quality and spend their time on Wokeness as an academic focus rather than academic subjects. Send info my kids to school to learn academics, not be taught about social justice, white fragility, defund police…….and that being a Caucasian is the root causes of everting evil in this country. Was not even born here and am South Asian.

On this thread, this is the definition of a troll.

4.5 here

More aid would have been nice, but my kid — who hasn’t heard the news yet — is going to go bonkers when he learns he got into his favorite school. Waitlisted everywhere else, but having his top choice for MS see what we see in him (a shy, reserved, quirky and very sweet human) thrills me to no end.

Even the BASIS troll farm wouldn’t bother to pretend that it’s competitive.
Again. Very clear PP is talking about free DC Charter Basis that will tell you your lottery waitlist number.
