When are you going to make the switch?
Renovating the kitchen next year - will make the switch. I’m sad, loved cooking on gas, but I can’t argue with the data! Oh well. Funny that we switched from wood burning fireplace to gas for the same reason, but it’s all vented, so I guess(hope) it’s all good.

There is NO RIGHT to own a gas stove!
You are a selfish a$$ hole.
And you are a narcissistic, venom-choking millennial ruining our body politic, assuredly abusing the environment in countless other ways, whilst taking photos of your food and hurling nasties online allowed reproductive autonomy and sundry to be yanked away because you are swimming deep in your slacktivism instead of voting. Next!

Why are you still cooking with gas?
Don’t you care at all about your children’s future? Your children’s children’s future ???
No. That’s why we live in the city. Breathing in all the car exhaust is way worse than anything I’m doing at my gas stove.

“The rest is yet to come.” You’ll see.
Maybe someone will invent something like a chimney for a gas stove?

Actually you'd be hard pressed to find someone more liberal than me.
Interesting how we jump to these black-and-white assumptions. I know I've been guilty of the same.
dp Why are we hearing about this now? How is it all of a sudden bad?
The far right needs to find a new thing to scare people about since the Biden Administration is making a lot of changes to address their constituents beefs with the Democratic Party.
Biden has probably never cooked for himself in his adult life. I think using him as a model is pretty hypocritical given how much travel and other things he does. And, the white house probably has gas.
How do you figure?
My father is just a few years younger and he also hasn't cooked his entire life outside of the occasional sandwich. Biden was a senator starting in the 70s. He was not cooking. Men of that generation and age just didn't cook, especially successful men with demanding careers.
He was a widower with two little kids. I’m guessing he’s cooked a meal before![]()
He was already a senator at the time his wife passed. That combined with the times (1970s) make it very likely that as a widower he had a lot of household help. I doubt he was cooking.
