Really? Because it's Charlie Gerow, Vice Chairman of the American Conservative Union who resigned his position on the board, and wrote that they should investigate additional allegations about Schlapp. So this isn't a political hit job from the left, or the media. It is coming from inside of the board of CPAC itself.
It doesn’t matter who it is. If someone on the board wants him out, this type of hit job is how they do it now. Look at what they did to Al Franken. I’m a conservative, don’t like him, and still feel he was unfairly smeared and should not have resigned.
There are probably internal financial issues and the board wants Schlapp out. The easiest way nowadays to do this is a sexual hit job. The ‘tell’ to me is that Schlapp is a Catholic and the alleged encounters are all homosexual. Would be much more believable if they just stuck to the run of the mill heterosexual encounters.

Also, it is possible these men, maybe without meaning to, put out "signals" in a way where Matt thought they were interested in having a sexual encounter.
So when Matt kissed, groped and/or fondled them, he thought he was responding to mutual interest.
