We were also informed there were so many applicants with teachers' kids, siblings applying, and alumni, there were only 5 openings available out of the class of 45 for 3rd grade. Which is nuts.
Interested if anyone here heard similar or different informaiton.

My daughter recently befriended a group of people she met in our church youth group, and I can't say how lovely these families are. The kids are wholesome and not obsessed with social media and the drama that comes along with that. They enjoy going to activities like sporting events, youth group meetings, and recently even started a book club. These kids are some of the most stable I know...and my daughter has friends from all walks of life -- athletes, theater kids, academic nerds. She is the combination of all three, but she really enjoys this group of kids the most because they are the kindest and least competitive friends she has.
Your daughter sounds perfect. The group does too. Like a 1980s preppy group but in modern day times. Good on you!
In the 80’s my Catholic HS classmates were going to bars in our uniform (drinking age was 18), smoking pot, doing mushrooms and getting pregnant.

I have a friend with kids there. She’s Hispanic and says a large portion of Heights families are too.
I bet your friends driver’s license says she’s white. 80%-90% of of Hispanics check white so they fit right in.

Well as we all know their Hispanic/Not-Hispanic is technically an “ethnicity” not a “race.” But when the PP claimed everyone is white or someone talks about “white supremacy” they mean non-Hispanic whites.
What makes you think that? Isn’t the leader leader of the Proud Boys hispanic? White hispanics still see themselves as white, if not they would check other in the box.
