My kiddo is supposed to be in a waitpool, but just got a rejection of the “level 1” appeal that was initiated by opting to stay in the waitpool. No mention of the waitpool in the rejection, so we are now thoroughly confused. Did they kick the kid out of the waitpool? Private school looking better and better. This entire process seems bizarre.
We also received one of these letters and it's very strange. Did our kid get kicked out of the waitpool? Seems to be what it's saying, which is weird if they need wait pools to draw from to fill the cohort.
For which program? I thought you didn’t need to do anything to stay in the waitpool so we didn’t. Also haven’t received an email. Assuming we’re still in the wait pool.
I thought the original email said to respond if you want to stay in the waitpool. We got a letter today confirming we are still in the pool.
It was confusing. I think in one place they said you don't need to do anything to stay in the waitpool. In another place it said respond to the Google form. We didn't see that second part so we didn't respond and we did not get a letter saying DD is still in the wait pool.

You won’t get SMCs. It’s a polite no. They usually don’t have many people who turn down the spot- like close to none. When my son was on the WL we called and they said one year they had 0 movement and another year 1 or 2 spots. Congratulations on Humanities. PHS is a great school.

I posted about this letter first. The fact that others received it is actually giving me great hope that we aren’t kicked out. I’m hoping it’s just a form letter that is meant to reaffirm current placement in the waitpool. Wording is definitely unclear though.

Original letter when placed in waitpool said:
The records of all students in the wait pools will be automatically reviewed as part of the Level One Appeals process.
Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine. But maybe it’s a bad sign that we got this rejection of others in the waitpool aren’t getting it.
