Bumping this thread because someone recently created a new thread asking for audiobook recommendations.

The woman who narrates all of Liane Moriarty’s books is a true master. Her narration is like a level of art layered on top of the writing. I will only “read” Moriarty in audio form because of the amazing narrator.

The Husband’s Secret is best, then Big Little Lies then Apples Never Fall. All recommended!

The audiobook for The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi was so cleverly done. The story is being told to a scribe by Amina and there are parts where she stops telling the story to address the scribe. They handled it so well in the audio version that I was laughing. So delightful!

The story is about a 40-something, retired pirate who gets her old gang back together for one last job. Demons slayed. Lives saved. Lots of laughs.

Anything read by Bahni Turpin or Jeannette Whalen (Whalen is correct, Jeannette is off the top of my head without going back. But I am pretty sure this is the narrator of Nothing to See Here and she is great)

Oh shoot, I went backwards through the thread and was reminded it's Marin Ireland for Nothing to See Here - also anything with her has been really good!

I think Whalen has done some of the Kristin Hannah books? Either way, I know for sure I like her narration.

Julia Whelan I think is who you're talking about - she does a lot of Kristin Hannah books.

Julia Whelan has now written her own book about an audiobook narrator, and she of course narrated the book! It’s really good.

Lincoln Highway was just a fantastic audiobook. The narrator was excellent.

American Dirt was GRIPPING

I really liked listening to Trevor Noah read his memoir. It was so interesting and the audio version meant hearing him speak bits of various langauges.

Oddly, Minka Kelly's memoir was super interesting and surprising too.
