Another pit bull attack. They're harmless...

Nobody is saying dogs are harmless but, humans kill way more than these dogs.

I honestly don't get the thrill you people are getting by keep talking about pit bills over and over.

I was in the grocery store today in Rockville and a couple brought in their pitbull! It lunged at me and I jumped back while they talked calmly to it. Wtf?! Do we have to wait for something terrible to happen before people stop bringing their dogs everywhere?

And the sad thing is she is a “lucky” victim. She is actually alive.

I saw that story as well. Fortunately they euthanized the dog today and ended the saga. The dog had a track record of being unstable and violent and had already been adopted out and returned twice. There are way too many good dogs of all breeds to waste more time and money trying to rehabilitate a dog that’s a known problem.

Omg the comments on that Twitter thread are insane. Example: “Marley was discriminated due to her breed and not given a fair review of the issue in court. This should be concerning to all because discrimination feeds discrimination and justice should be for all. There was no need to hurry a kill before the announced date but to avoid court.”

I think you have to have a few screws loose to be a pit bull apologist. Also even if the little Yorkie was in the “wrong” for coming up to the pit bull, the appropriate response is not mauling it to death. I would be freaking horrified if my lab/hound dog killed a small dog just for approaching him. At most this warrants a quick snarl telling the other dog to back off.

Just came here to post the same thing. The little girl is in Maine & had a playdate with a friend & the mom was dog sitting the pitbull that attacked. F'ing things need to be put out of existence.

PP here. That poor child's face.... I can't even begin to imagine the fear and pain of that many bites to the face and neck area, and she's only 6 years old.
