Ok so off topic but would anybody be interested in reading a book that spans a 15 year period where an American woman has steamy relationships with men from different countries?

Not just like a backpacker hookup kind of deal, but think of like a diplomat who moves around and keeps falling in love at each post with men that are local and very different from each other (think Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Tegucigalpa, etc.).

This was kinda my life from age 20-35 and I’d love to write about it but unsure if there would be an audience for such a thing or if I’d just come off like a slut (which I definitely am lol).

Wouldn't a book forum be the best place to "look down" on particular books?
Only if you want to run people off. Or, hear me out, people who enjoy certain books can find each other and those who don’t enjoy those books can find their own conversation.


There have been times when I planned on reading a book based on a DCUM recommendation, but then others chimed in and said they didn't love it and explained why. I personally appreciate different perspectives. And just because somebody hates a book you liked doesn't mean they think you suck. You just have different tastes.

And with that I will say that I don't think a court of roses and thorns is a good recommendation on here because, even if you think it's well-written, there are about four mild sex scenes in 800 pages.

Get a Life Chloe Brown (and sequels), by Talia Hibbert (modern Neurodiverse-friendly RomCom)

A Duke by Default, by Alyssa Cole (modern RomCom)

A Week to be Wicked, by Tessa Dare (historical Romance with a feminist vibe)

Nine Rules to Break when Romancing a Rake, by Sarah MacLean (historical Romance with a feminist vibe)

There wasn't a lot of it, but what was there was pretty darn spicy!
Great book, too, with a recipe at the end of each chapter.
The movie version stunk, stunk, stunk, with the exception of seeing Jennifer Lawrence naked.
