Yeah but that stabilizing is really important for pain management!

13 and 10. Too many times to even count. One kid has rare genetic disorder. The other one had 2.5 years of treatment for brian cancer.

DS 13: 3 (twice as a baby for a fall and then and asthma attack, and once at age 5 for a broken arm)

23: 3 - stitches twice and broken arm
21: 4 - appendix (false alarm), appendix (for real), bone fracture, suspected ectopic pregnancy (false alarm)
9 : 1 - a bad pneumonia. But at some point she was a frequent flyer at an urgent care. With the older kids, there was no available urgent care options, otherwise the injuries would go there.

We have Kaiser, which has walk up urgent care. So, zero. But honestly, no judgment because without walk up urgent care, the answer would probably be 5-10 times

DD8: 3 times, all for difficulty breathing (later diagnosed with asthma we now have under control)
DD5: 1 time, for staples in his head after a nasty fall down stairs

6 and 8 - 0 ER trips. 3 trips to urgent care on vacation for Croup. All 3 times I was up all night holding a kid in a steamy bathroom hoping they wouldn’t stop breathing in my arms. Maybe I should have gone to the ER.

12yo girl: 3, 2 for allergy-related and 1 for a broken elbow in 4 places

10yo girl: 1, breathing problems

4yo son: 3 times (serious breathing issues 2/3 of those)
2yo son: 1 time (allergic reaction to meds)

2 times - once at 7 weeks old when he was having stomach issues (sent by his pediatrician) and once last year for staples in his head after hitting the wall in the pool.
