I will re-use a pan immediately for the same meal when it makes sense - like sautéing mushrooms and onions and then taking them out, adding more oil and putting in the chicken. Or cooking eggs after making bacon and wiping off most of the excess grease. But like cooking and then putting the pan back in the cabinet? Never.

Same. Are people just leaving dirty pans on the stove and reusing?? Weird.

I wash all pots and pans after every use. Including my cast-iron skillets. I wash them with soap and water. After I put them on a low burner on the stove until fully dry. Then I put a small amount of avocado oil on a paper towel and wipe down the inside. I've never had a problem.

I'm not even sure I can't trust any of you for any real advice anymore except those of you who are smart enough to wash your pots every use and who showers daily but that seems like very few.

Don't eat at a restaurant, either. Pans live on the burners, and get reused multiple times between washings.

Cook it all yourself, to your germphobic standards.

No one is talking about sauteing onions and adding other ingredients to the same pot. Stop pretending that we are and learn about food safety, moron.

That is literally what I said I did upthread and it set PP off, so maybe learn better reading comprehension before slagging off people you don't know, moron.

Perhaps take your own advice because plenty of people said they don't wash after every use even if they are done cooking, moron.

I wash my pans after every meal. At the point where something has been sitting at room temperature for a long period of time I need to clean it. To me doing a one pan/pot meal is different than leaving a dish out for hours and not cleaning it.
