I’m 5’6 147ish but I think I look best about 10 lbs lighter. Yet people are always commenting that I look fit and muscular and ask if I’m an athlete or a personal trainer. Its all from lifting weights.

Wtf! Did you miss the part where she likes the way she looks. Wtf wound she “lift weights”?

Why would she (or anyone) not lift weights? No one looks worse from lifting weights. Weird comment.

Why would anybody want to lift weight if they like the way you look. You are oddly shaped obsessed with weights.

Lifting weights is excellent for bone density and that alone is a sufficient argument for all women to lift.

I thought the same thing as you OP even though I was at 5’3” and 180. I know, crazy. The real wake up call was when I started my Caliborate program and I wanted to see what results would look like. Despite being on many diets over my life, I took pictures of myself for the first time in just bra and underwear with plans to do it for every 10 pounds I lose. The photos of myself in just my underwear at 180 were sobering. I don’t know how I ever thought I looked OK.

I personally felt and looked overweight at 5'4 and 155-60, but everyone's body/frame is different. That was more than I weighed when I was 9 months pregnant and I had to maintain a very unhealthy lifestyle (binging sweets and sedentary) for a solid decade to reach that weight. I dropped 40 pounds pretty easily just by cutting sugar and exercising daily and I still eat a lot, just better quality food.

I think I also just have a body that looks heavier than it is? My husband thought I lost maybe 10 pounds when I dropped to 115. He kept asking why I was buying new clothes.

I’m considered thin, but my body dysmorphia makes me “feel” like a hulking, average-to-heavy person. I’m active and have always worked out.

Currently the heaviest I’ve ever been; 135/5’5” and my adult weight has been as low as 112. Pre menopause, I was 125 for a full decade.

I don’t weigh myself because it’s generally triggering and makes me upset to see my weight go up.
