At least one of the dead is a UVA player, confirmed by his father on Twitter. I'm not saying the name because of all the issues Twitter has had with false blue verification marks. However, the word from people in Charlottesville is this happened on or at the team bus when it came back from the Pitt game.
As of 4 a.m., the suspect was still at large. Multiple police agencies looking with helicopters, bloodhounds, etc.
Pitt game was a home game on Saturday afternoon. This happened late Sunday night.
Hmmm. Maybe it was some other team outing or the information is wrong.
At least two of the dead are players, however.
I feel terrible. We were at the game Saturday, drove down specifically for it. The Cavs played horribly and lost big time. I'm ashamed to say I had some unkind words for the players đ

Three people are dead. By definition it is a mass shooting. Why are you arguing semantics? Sit down.
Target can be one or many.
And âmassâ is not synonymous with ârandom.â
Your need to argue semantics while a killer is on the loose blocks from where my child and othersâ live is disgusting. Shame on you.
ok mass target shooting
Was it a football player from a different school targeting UVA football players?
No. Nothing is know about motive just that the alleged shooter was on the football team roster in 2018.
News outlets are reporting one of the names and that it occurred in the Culbreth Garage.

Another one of the victims is apparently a beloved player on the team. Not using the name until confirmed.
My DD has several friends on the football team (all safe) but just heartbroken for them. Just hope heâs found soon and they can start the healing process. Itâs been a completely terrifying night for these kids.
Was the entire football team On the bus? They all witnessed this?

Why would people be booing? It's not like they wanted to do badly. That is what I don't get about the audience of any sports. The players get so much abuse from spectators. It hurts the players more when they lose. I always assume the people who are nasty are those who are low-class gambling addicts who made a bad bet and can't deal with the fact that the results are not what they wanted.

I work in a synagogue and this is what we are taught. Fight is last resort. The rabbi held hostage in Texas fought. Waited until terrorist got tired and threw a chair at him. That counts as fighting.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Kind of sounds like a dispute between members of the football team versus a random event?
Literally no one has described this as a random event, toots. A killer is still on the loose.
