+1 No one is 'stealing' anyone's fertility. There are many ways to become a mother.
That's not a fair statement. These relationships are usually the husband lying to the wife about wanting kids, dragging the timeline while pretending the marriage is great and then blindsiding the wife with a divorce once the wife demands a definitive time for a baby. Why would the wife freeze her eggs if her husband is telling her he wants kids? Should all women be entering marriages under the assumption their husbands will leave them and they need to safeguard their fertility? That's a crappy way to enter marriage.

While the man goes on to marry and have children the woman is left robbed of her fertile and out of time to have kids of her own.
This is criminal!
I always heard that Jennifer Anniston didn’t want kids and that is one of the many reasons Brad left her.

How is freezing the embryo of your ex husband a solution to infertility? And what other ways? Don’t say adoption, which is not a solution to infertility.

Well I’m in a marriage where I haven’t had a child yet due to lack of interest and cooperation from my husband. Now I’m too terrified to leave as bow can I divorce, fall in love and have a baby with rapidly declining fertility?
How old are you? Maybe you can freeze eggs (although there is no guarantee that would work either) or just run now if you are still young.
My AH husband and family stole my fertility - arranged marriage in early 20s. Husband is asexual, couldn't divorce due to cultural beliefs and parental pressure even though we are not compatible in anything. Tried IVFs in early 30's but found out my egg supply diminished early and my only option was egg donor. So I lost the chance to have my own biological kid because I stayed in a shitty sexless marriage. I've become a very bitter person since I was raised to stay and suffocate and that family honor was important. Now I am always depressed. Still married to a guy I hate.
I hope hearing this would help you.
Sorry this happened to you…
I wanted to ask why you waited until your 30s to try IVF

What a world.
She actually didn't say this at all. She wishes that she froze her eggs. But she didn't say that either of her husbands prevented her from having children, or that she didn't want children. She tried, and failed.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:That isn’t what she said. She tried. It didn’t work. Her husbands didn’t steal it from her.
She tried IVF so she could become pregnant. In a word, she was infertile and could not get pregnant even with IVF. No man stole her fertility. The fertility was not there to begin with.
What she should have done is retrieved her egg (if she had eggs), taken the sperm of her husband (or from the sperm bank) and got a surrogate to have a baby. This is becoming quite common among celebrities - Kim Kardashian, Priyanka Chopra etc.
Jennifer Aniston wanted a baby with her own genes. It is quite possible that she did not have any viable eggs to retrieve and create a baby out of. She could have had a baby through some other means though even if it was not her genes and maybe she did not want that.

Me too. I always knew I wanted kids. My husband said he wanted kids. He knew I would never have married a man who didn't want kids. Many years later, he revealed that his plan from the start was to convince me to change my mind.

I'm so sorry. Men who do this are simply awful.
