They are either snowbirds or visitors.

Why did you move to Florida? People are moving there are doing so because they like it. The extra freedom and the lower taxes included. So why would you want to change it into a place you and many others just moved from?

On my cul-de-sac alone, we had three homes sell in the last six months (new homes). My new neighbors are from (1) NYC (2) NJ (3) DC. We still own our home near DC. Our renters are moving to Florida this summer. Florida is full, people. And you hate it, remember? Stay up north. It’s so much better.
In which town? Nothing is selling in Miami.
We are about an hour from Tampa near Inverness.
You moved to landlocked FL near a body of water called "Cooter Pond'? Sounds delightful.
I’m only a few miles from the coast. I live near Crystal River which is amazing! We sail, kayak, scuba dive, and hike year round. I can be in Tampa in an hour and in Orlando in an hour. My pool is warm enough to swim in almost year round. (Year round for sure if I use the heater.). I live in one of the highest points in the state. Hurricanes are not a concern for us. We get the wind and rain, but no flooding. Cooter Pond Park is actually really pretty.
I’m sorry you are so unhappy where you are. I’ve lived all over the US and in three very different places overseas. I’ve found great things about everywhere we have lived. But I love Florida. 🐊
Of course your pool is warm, your yards away from the decommissioned nuclear plant.

In the upcoming governor's race you will see that millions of Florida residents will vote against DeSantis and while he may win it will not be a landslide. He squeaked by in the last election by .4% and he has really pissed off a lot of people since then.
Are you nuts? He is heading towards a landslide -- will be 10 points. He is more popular now than ever.
You may be right and if you are that does not indicate that I am the one that is nuts.
Anonymous wrote:Yes. Baby boomers and matures are retiring and Florida is where DC people typically retire.

You're going to be in for a surprise. -Signed a Florida resident in their 30's who once voted for Gillum, and Biden and has early voted for DeSantis.
Wow, imagine announcing to the world you've got brain worms.
Someone take away our MD and JD degrees. We have brain worms lol.

It won't surprise me at all if DeSantis wins, I am well aware he has a lot of support although it does still baffle me a little bit, much like I have been baffled to find out so many millions of Americans did and still do support Trump. Baffled because I wasn't aware untl the last few years that so many millions are so ignorant and their numbers are growing. I find it to be very scary.
