Nice woman, not sure she cares about things I care about. Definitely don't see her asking hard questions.
Even MDF, who is running a slightly harder campaign, seems to be out there competing for the votes.
Rives isn't SB ready and has run a terrible campaign. The best to be said about him is he'd ask different questions. Maybe I'll write-in. Doesn't matter, Sutton will win. Hope she remembers she's non-partisan.
Sutton came and knocked on my door, and I'm the last house on a dead-end way down in south Arlington. We get canvassers down here but I rarely see a candidate actually walking the streets.

Anonymous wrote:Rives flier saying he wants to keep schools opened immediately turned me off. This is not a 2022 issue and the fact that it was the TOP of his door flier made him an immediate no. I saw it as a dog whistle for nonsense politics.
He's a nope for me.

I don’t understand why Arlington democrats endorse someone for the school board when it’s supposed to be a non-partisan position.

This bothers me SO much. I tend to only vote D, but I think they have no business being involved in the school board. I purposely vote the opposite of what they put on that cheat sheet b/c I think their candidates don't actually care about making schools better.

He's pretending, all right. I know his neighbor who told me he used to have a lot of Trump signs at his home. Before running he removed those and the pro-life license plate holder. While I do see the benefit of an independent voice on the board I'm not voting for a Trumper. What's even worse then being a Trump Republican? A Trump Republican who knows it's so bad that they hide what they are

Anonymous wrote:Not a conservative or a Youngkin voter, but all hell would rain down if we learned APS purposefully concealed important information from us - or worse- lied that we consented. Fix mandatory reporting laws if necessary - don’t hide info from parents. I want a candidate who won’t allow APS to wade into the middle of legal shitstorm.

On the other hand, only Sutton can save our trans kids.
Which is it?
Giving trans kids an inclusive, nurturing environment and protecting them from anti-trans policies from Richmond is a real issue.
Panicking over fake stories about litterboxes is not.
See the differences?
Are we allowed to be concerned over real stories of APS employees forging parental
consent or is that more right wing manufacturing? Trans kids deserve to be treated with respect, use the bathroom of their choice, go by preferred name name and pronouns, but schools can’t be in the business of hiding info from parents and protecting employees who break the law. See the difference? I hope Bethany doesn’t endorse hiding info from parents.
