They get a picture of who the kid is, plug it into the Chat GPF and ask it to create an outline, first draft and second draft etc. or if your kids writes the draft, they just copy it in and ask Chat GPT for feedback. Why would you pay for this “service”? Either write them the old fashioned way or just use chat GPT yourself.
FWIW, I'm a college counseling tutor Wyzant with an advanced degree and recent experience reading applications for a university. I've never used Chat GPT, nor would I ever "help" a student by providing them an essay. (I also make no promises about where a student will get in. That definitely seems like a red flag.)
Not every student needs or wants an essay coach, and not every student can afford one, which is part of why I also volunteer in this capacity. That said, I'm confident that I'm helpful to the students who work with me.
Any keywords to use to find you on Wyzant?

Soooo. It took your child less than 3 hours to do the common app essay?
Dang.
Doubt your kid actually wrote it. Lol.
Make sure to run it through rhe AI dectection software.
It was 4 hours and it’s just a draft. It’s only 650 words. How long should it take?
