ND and Emory are in another level and will always be.

Its below NYU and in the same group with Rochester and Tufts

Will the response be a hard yes, no, or deferred to RD cycle?

Is Nov 15th date for all info or can semester grades be sent after 15th?

I heard the acceptance rates for ED and RD are pretty much the same. Is that true? It's about 30%, right?

Are ED acceptances mostly recruited athletes or do regular kids stand a chance?

hmmm last cycle was 7% acceptance rate

What does that mean “last cycle had a 7% acceptance rate”?
Is that the ED acceptance rate? I am confused.

wake is a legit hot school - but likely a target if ur reach is vandy or duke

but they do reject high stat kids who demonstrate zero interest - so assuming it’s a safety for anyone isn’t a great strategy

Lol, I don’t know a single kid who’s interested in Wake. Might be a white people thing?

Top “hot” schools per friend - regardless of ranking - are Rice, Wake, Vandy, and Duke

kids seem to really like Wake

And it is much, much easier to get into compared to the other three.

I don’t think all four schools would appeal to the same students, mine had interest in Vandy and Wake but none in Rice (doesn’t have sports or social scene she wants).

I guess this is brilliant--a way to pick off students by accelerating the ED process even further. I'm not sure incentivizing students to choose a full year ahead of enrollment really serves them well, though.
