With one child, I don't know why you need a third row for carpooling.

We use the third row when grandparents visit or for carpooling but my kids are in ES, so they fit in the back row no problem.

Why in the world would you get a minivan with one child? I have 4 kids and would never consider one. The times we have been stuck w/ one as a rental have been miserable. They drive terribly and park horribly. Look at Audi, Vw, Volvo, Landrover, ford, Tesla.
That’s because rental companies don’t use Hondas. It drives way better than VW or Ford. Jesus.
