+1 what a stupid thread. Go look at some actual data...

My 10 year old was nearly 90 pounds and very thin. I find it hard to believe that if she put on around 10 more lbs she would have been unhealthy.
You are clueless.
No. My 11 year old is 77 pounds, tall and thin but not VERY thin. So someone a year younger and 13 pounds heavier is not “very thin.”

I was over 100 pounds at 10. I was at the 95th percentile for height. Was not chubby at all.
I’m guessing you are remembering this wrong. My 11 year old is also very tall and weighs 77 lbs.

You don’t know that. Some 10 yr old girls are 5 ft + with periods
Some 5th graders are larger than I am. Doesn’t mean it’s a good thing.
It doesn’t mean anything to you, since you don’t know the context. I was 5’5” 125 at 11 in 6th grade. I’m 39 and still the same height and weight. Some girls go through puberty at 10-11 and reach their adult size earlier
It’s rare. Most just go up from there. And wait until they start drinking and/or have a couple babies.
It is absolutely not rare for girls to reach their full adult heighr by 5th or 6th grade. Its very common.
I work in a middle school with 6-8th grade. The size difference between the two grades is astronomical. I’m not saying it’s impossible for someone to be full height in 5th or 6th but it is most definitely not “very common” and they also still continue to gain weight.

Sample day/today 2 eggs on a mini bagel and 2 halos for breakfast, almond milk to drink. Lunch, turkey and cheese on WG bread ( 2 slices) bowl of watermelon, few chips. Juice box. Dinner, chicken noodle soup with rotisserie chicken, carrots and celery, small bowl of blueberries. Water to drink. Snacks, sandwich bag size of popcorn and a Lara bar…… she is perfectly healthy. This was today but pretty typical for a normal day.Anonymous wrote:And I'm very shocked that there are 10 year old girls who weigh over 100 lb. Definitely not healthy.
