wow, seriously? eww
absolutely true. First there are three levels of heaven. Good, practicing Mormons in good standing get to go to the top heaven, called the "Celestial Heaven" (we other Christians don't get to go there). There are two other levels. Then there is the "outer darkness". That is where bad people and those that denounce the Mormon church go. That's also where practicing homosexuals go (usually by then excommunicated by the Mormon church).
To get into the Celestial Kingdom, a woman must be sealed to a priesthood holder (always male, always straight, unless in the closet). If a man loses a wife, as a Mormon relative did, he can be sealed to a second woman. They will both become his wives in the Celestial Kingdom. This is why the Mormon Church has never officially denounced - properly! - its stance on polygamy. It is possible to have multiple wives in the Celestial Kingdom.
However, the reverse is not true of women. Women cannnot hold either of the priesthoods and they cannot pull a husband (as the priesthood holder husband does) through the Celestial veil - after the wife has given him her secret name (there's also a secret handshake).
So an unmarried woman in the LDS church cannot get into the Celestial Kingdom. Which is why there is so much emphasis on marrying. I'm not making this up. Educate yourself.

Reality check- The only person who gets to decide whether or not they want to identify as a Christian, a follower of Christ - is that individual person. Not the religion. Not the church. Not a religious leader. It’s a personal relationship. If someone calls themselves a Christian, I believe them.
That said, I know an awful lot of evangelical “Christians” who are nothing like the Christ they claim to follow. The LDS people I know are certainly more Christ-like than any southern baptist I’ve ever met. Including clergy.
Actually, this is decided by the Christian or Heretic Religious Intersectional Tribunal. They decide if a particular person or faith qualifies as Christian. Updates from the weekly Thursday meetings are posted on their website.
This is not a thing.
I think everyone knows that except for the atheist trolls that think organized religion is really really organized. That that are accreditations and clear unambiguous definitions concerning specific religious matters. And hard, first hand, documented evidence for all claims.
+1. Unfortunately the atheist trolls know very little about Christianity and it shows.
I’m not an atheist, I’m a Christian and no way no how are Mormons Christian. You can’t base your made up faith on saying the entirety of Christianity is wrong and then claim to be Christian. https://www.christianity.com/wiki/church/mormonism-is-not-christianity-11628184.html

The other religion-bashing threads are pretty quiet so you thought you’d try to resurrect (pun intended) this thread bashing everybody’s favorite target, Mormons?
Yeah, the trolling “my friend’s grandson committed suicide and her faith is waning” and “missionaries do TERRIBLE things but I am not saying what TERRIBLE things they do!” thread is at a standstill. Time to call the Mormons a cult.
Anonymous wrote:Who cares really if Mormons constitute Christians per se. We generally know their beliefs. Bible + Book of Mormon. Is what it is. We should just focus on ourselves.

so that sounds pretty Christian to me.
