OP here - results

The visualized pancreatic head and body have normal echogenicity.

The gallbladder appears normal in size without evidence of gallstones,
gallbladder wall thickening, or pericholecystic fluid. The ultrasound
technologist reports a negative Murphy's sign. The common bile duct
measures up to 3 mm in width.

No intrahepatic biliary ductal dilation. Mild diffuse hepatic
steatosis. Small right hepatic lobe 1.3 cm hyperechoic lesion,
indeterminate.

The right kidney measures 10.3 cm in length. No hydronephrosis.

No free fluid within the right upper quadrant of the abdomen.

Are you able to cut the Prilosec? There have been a lot of reported side effects over the last few years about long term use of that type of drug. Liver damage is one of them.

OP here - I went from daily down to once every three days. I don't know what else I could use. Even with giving up alcohol, I still find I need it.

Op here - years ago. Like 5-7 seems like.

I think given the research it’s something to consider giving up if alcohol alone doesn’t reduce the numbers. The directions on Prilosec say it’s not meant for long term use. That changed within the last 5ish years due to new research on increased cancer risk, liver damage, etc.

You might want to check for lyme. My husband just had pretty bad elevated liver enzymes with positive lyme.

...it might sound crazy but could heavy use of hand sanitizer during pandemic possibly cause elevated enzymes in otherwise healthy individuals?

I don’t know that once every three days is enough, but there is a correlation between proton inhibitors and increased liver disease. https://health.ucsd.edu/news/releases/pages/2017-10-10-common-acid-reflux-medications-promote-chronic-liver-disease.aspx As others said, the 2 drinks a night could contribute to liver issues and the prilosec may be accelerating things.

OP here - the only thing I take - and once every three days - is Prilosec.

I also take electrolyte powder mixed in water daily to increase hydration as I sweat a lot in hot yoga.

NP, female over 50, occasional wine and beer drinker, healthy with normal weight. I had elevated liver enzymes at my physical 2 years ago. Dr. ran blood tests to rule out other problems.

I had been taking Zyrtec daily for about 2 months to deal with allergies, the only difference in my health routine from prior years. I read somewhere that Zyrtec can cause elevated liver enzymes in rare cases. When I repeated the blood tests after the Zyrtec was out of my system for over a month, the results were back to normal. And I didn't stop drinking wine during that time period.
