Didn’t that book feel a touch too sympathetic to the Windsors? I’ve already returned it to the library, so I can’t quote anything, but I got the feeling that it was very strongly pushing the narrative of relatable wives from healthy families v. pitiable wives from broken homes.
The book is clearly anti Diana, anti Meghan, pro-Camilla and pro Windsor and it STILL managed to make the royal family (and Camilla) seem like vapid, ugly trash. Which just shows you how ridiculously trashy they must be if a sympathetic portrait like that couldn’t make them palatable.
Hi rabid Megan-stan! Missed you after the other royal threads were terminated for the attacks against the Cambridge children. 😘

+1. do you not know how she messed up Charles and Diana's relationship from the beginning? The cufflinks? Not staying away? The tampon stuff?

Charles messed up his marriage. Why is Camilla to blame? If it was t Camilla, it would have been someone else because he clearly never had feelings for Diana and admitted so to the press. Diana wasn’t the perfect wife either and her antics didn’t help with her relationship with Charles. All three of them have some blame in the breakup of Charles and Diana but Camilla has the least.
DP but the whole point of this thread is how dignified and awesome Camilla is. She carried on an extramarital affair for, what, decades? That's lousy, not least being because she was married to someone else, too. I'm not sure what's likable about her behavior.
Exactly! She is a terrible person. By extension, she is partially responsible for Diana's death.

THIS! Big money bring spent to make Camilla likable before the Queen dies. PR blitz.

But I’m Harry’s age, lost my mother suddenly about the same time, and also had my dad immediately get together with his Camilla type, so I fully admit I am as damaged and angry as Harry clearly is. The whole drama with Harry’s attitude toward Camilla really showed me, as I read peoples comments and saw how people in real life feel about him, just how damaged I must be because I…understand and agree with him. So now I just never talk about my feelings about my dad and his wife in real life.
Harry us my celebrity spiritual animal.
You should get actual therapy. You’re a young person wallowing in something that can’t be changed, while your father and his wife - who did nothing wrong - are thriving. That’s sad.
Camilla’s endured a lot, and if she made that joke? NBD. Let people twist it and get all hot and bothered! The first in what probably will be a series of books illustrating who Harry and Meghan really are will sell all the more, which can’t be what they want, but so little of what they do makes rational sense.
Camilla deserved to endure a lot for her part in ruining a marriage. I can only think people who defend and romanticize her and Charles’ behavior, while hating Harry and Meghan for being honest (and profiting from it), are out of touch, racist, old, or a combination of the above.
Sure thing. I think people who care about Camilla’s scarlet letter still are just lame. She’s where she wants to be, seems content, seems accepted by actual grownups in the UK, and is presumably happy to not deal with her idiot son-in-law and his new mommy wife. I can’t imagine what a relief it is to not have to interact with them.

Camilla Parker Bowles allegedly joked if Meghan, Harry’s baby would have ‘ginger Afro hair’

Huh? Meghan is a horrible bully who has isolated her own family, has few friends (remember Jessica Mulroney?) and shown repeatedly what a terrible person she is. She has now successfully isolated Harry from his brother, his friends and his family. She has shown complete disregard for the Queen. She has been caught in lie after lie.
There's a reason why they have been publicly booed for years.
