If out of state, that is not easier to get into than UVA.
Lol
Can't you Google? Can't you count?
class of 2025:
UVA instate acceptance rate = 28%
UF OOS acceptance rate = 22%
UF OOS is harder to get in than UVA instate.
That would assume the applicant pools are of equal quality.

Most of these not easier to get into.
UNC, WF and NYU MUCH MUCH harder to get into.
UNC almost impossible for OOS
WF and NYU very difficult due to size and prestige.
UNC he’s harder to get into, NYU and Wake? Nope.
Wake and NYU are much much harder to get into
Wake is slightly less, but NYU is much harder.
US News lists both as lower than UVA so safe to assume their less selective since that's what the rankings measure.

+1 Meets all the requirements except the weather.
Also, if she's willing to look farther afield, how about UC Santa Barbara? Not sure if that's any easier to get into, though.
Terrible suggestion.
Why is that?

UVA/WM Similarities
Difficult to get admitted
Not in a large city
A little off the beaten path.
Well Respected
Differences
WM has smaller student body size
No Engineering School at WM, but a great applied physics department and computer science dept.
NASA and Jefferson Lab nearby WM which offers lots of research and internship opportunities, not similarly available at UVA.
WM cheaper for in state, UVA cheaper for out of state.

Let’s see:
UNC is harder to get into
Tufts is cold and school spirit? and harder
NYU is in a city, and again, school spirit - really? and harder
Wake Forest is not easier to get into
BC is cold. and harder

She likes the size of the school (or larger) the outgoing student body, location (not urban) and the school spirit. Need ideas for similar schools but easier to get into. They do not have to have to be in-state. She prefers a warmer climate.
A few good responses so far on this chain. And SO MANY bad ones. To put all the good responses in one place:
In-state: JMU & Virginia Tech
Out of state: Clemson, UTK, Bama, Auburn, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Arizona
Out of state but not "warmer": Indiana, Kansas, Iowa, Iowa State, Miami of Ohio
Really cold and kinda urban (and not an easy admit) but super outgoing and spirited: Wisconsin
