Where is his praise of their excellent police work apprehending the three juveniles who were shooting at police in Bethesda? Police took them unharmed. Elrich is quick to condemn them in officer involved shootings but silent when they do it right. Unbelievable.

This is a sincere question: will you explain why? I don’t see one redeeming quality in Reimer and am interested in hearing what a Reimer voter sees in him.
Because I don't trust Blair; he is not a traditional Democrat. Blair is a developer backed candidate and I am wary of his intentions. Elrich is Elrich, I have never been a fan of his.

On top of that, I'm not religious but I am an LGBT person and he's got a whole religious section which I take it to mean that he would not support my continued existence just as other Republicans don't. Riemer is endorsed by LGBTQ Democrats of Montgomery County.
From Blair’s page on religion:
“The sacred texts of all the major faith traditions teach the importance of loving one’s neighbor as one’s self, seeking justice, and caring for the poor and vulnerable.”
“The impact of faith communities grows exponentially as they cross lines of race, culture, gender, ideology and religion in serving the common good. Examples of effective activities include; interfaith worship services of thanksgiving, interfaith prayer and candlelight vigils responding to acts of hate and violence, hosting multicultural dialogues on important and challenging local moral issues, serving as first responders to emergencies, providing healthcare, and welcoming immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Community members experiencing the rich diversity of Montgomery County in these ways know we are one human family inspired with social justice and compassion.”
I’m obviously not going to tell you who to vote for, but I don’t think Blair’s page paints the picture of someone who is a religious zealot who will attack LGBT rights.
Better safe than sorry in this current climate.
That's exactly how I feel. It's easy for people that aren't worried about losing their rights to tell me I'm being dramatic. When Roe leaked a few months ago, I told people I was scared about losing gay marriage and was told I'm dramatic and it will never happen. Now Thomas explicitly mentioned it. I can't live my life hoping for the best. I need to vote for the person that I know will look out for me.

For good or for ill, the Democratic primary determines who’s going to win the general election.
Before midnight Tuesday.

Sadly, once again, I could not get my DH to register as a dem to vote in the primary (he’s unaffiliated). It’s so frustrating! Hogan is the only republican that he has voted for in recent years anyway and he’s always complaining about Elrich and the council. I told him I am unwilling to listen to his complaints anymore since he’s not willing to vote in the primary.
And then hogan cut $ for abortion support. I guess your H won’t do that again.

Doubtful, but I do know several Blair voters from last time who are switching to Elrich. In fact I know a former staunch Floreen supporter who is now campaigning for Elrich.
Do you know why?
DP but the reality is that there are only two groups that absolutely hate him, the real estate sector and law enforcement.
For everyone else, he’s been from so-so to great.
He was much more responsible and displayed more leadership about COVID than the Council, who were both behaving irresponsibly and also using allowing Riemer to use COVID as a means to constantly attack Elrich.
It’s that last part which turned me real sour on Riemer. I couldn’t believe it.
How exactly was Elrich more responsible on Covid than the council members?
You’re kidding right? The council during COVID was a mess. There is no way to claim that they showed any leadership on anything, except stepping in to ensure that HS football was played. But they could have taken stronger action, sitting as the Board of Heath, to set the policies. Instead they sat on their hands and Riemer in particular did nothing except complain that Elrich wasn’t copying that disaster in Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, in declaring the county was “open for business”. They also complained that Elrich was exercising fiscal restraint and not blowing stimulus funds on needless crap. Which is interesting context when you see people complain that Elrich is fiscally irresponsible. The council is absolutely worse and cannot be trusted.
What is interesting about Riemer was that the COVID experience in the county north of the Beltway was dramatically different and you’d think an At-Large member would be more attuned to that. Large portions of the county barely closed. Let’s not forget the disastrous “leadership” of Hucker. What a mess. COVID was the council at its absolute worst.
Elrich was a mess too, that’s all I’m saying. I particularly loved the executive order where he tried to further reduce daycare capacity.
Or remember when there was an order against live music....and then he caught at the Brookeville Beer Farm sipping his cold beer and LISTENING TO LIVE MUSIC
So what does do? changes the order to permit live music, of course!
Meanwhile, kids stayed out of school for over a year, but his fat a$$ got to enjoy his craft beer and live music
