Phil Thomas has entered the chat.
Thomas was the only Council candidate who stood up from the beginning against the Trumpy gerrymandering plan to split Ward 3 neighborhoods. Duncan never had the courage to disavow the task force, although it was clear weeks later that she realized she had been snookered. Frumin belatedly criticized the gerrymandering (he called it “disenfranchisement”) but only after entire neighborhoods had become energized against the split.

The wall has been broken and the waters are rushing in. Time to stand up to outside money trying to buy our election.
I expect at least two others in the Ward 3 race to follow Duncan's lead.
With Racine and Cheh coming out for Frumin yesterday, I suspect other citywide voices will be coming out as well.
Elissa Silverman too.
The word is that Silverman pushed candidates to stand down in favor of Frumin. If Frumin loses the Ward 3 Dem primary, it would be easy for his to pivot to an at-large race against Silverman in the fall. He ran against her before, and she’s increasingly unpopular.

It would actually be more natural for them to support fellow Palisades resident Goulet and Goulet has a lot of support in Palisades, based on donations.
What are you talking about? Goulet's money is coming from Bentonville, AR, and Adelaide.
It's funny that everyone assiduously avoids mentioning that this same money is going to Bowser too. If it is so terrible that DFER is supporting Goulet that he must be stopped, then why is not terrible that they are also heavily supporting Bowser? And Mendelson? I guess that's politics for you.
Uh, a lot of us are voting for Robert White as well.
I think you might be confused by what “a lot” means. But thank you for identifying yourselves as local cranks.
Really? Polling today indicates it is a very close race. Are you saying half the city are local cranks?
