Lol. This is why women get irritated at men sometimes. I am stating that somebody with gray hair can look lovely and not at all like she gave up, and a guy assumes that what I’m really saying is that I’m distraught at the idea that a man might not find me attractive. What is your deal, dude? I don’t have gray hair at all, and the only thing I’m trying to cope with is the stress of figuring out how I’m going to keep my kids entertained over summer break. If you don’t think that women looks like she is put-together that’s fine but please remember the world doesn’t revolve around you and your preferences.

Sometimes make-up makes women look angry if not done right. This is just my humble opinion (I am not an expert in this, just my observation). If you don’t agree, that’s fine. This is just one man’s opinion. For example, ladies in other countries do the make-up in a way that’s subtle (doesn’t look like make-up) but enhance overall attractiveness. Look up how South Korean ladies do their make-up. I am not advocating more make-up as I personally don’t like too much make-up.
Well Mr. Man, different areas of the world have different makeup styles. Women in America are not trying to make themselves look like white South Korean. You can just look up East v. West makeup.
Okay. How about comparing with ladies in Paris? I see ladies in LA or Manhattan do better job in their makeup. In most other cities including DC, do you really think that women (and men) have a good sense of fashion in general?

I’m on my phone so and I don’t want to figure out how to embed this but gray can look really lovely at all ages, and isn’t precisely correlated with “caring.”
Cope and seethe all you want. It doesn't matter that you think men can and should think "gray hair is really lovely". What matters is that men think gray hair means "she gave up".

It's not shallow because any woman who has stopped caring about her appearance is guaranteed to have much deeper problems than just her uncared-for appearance. And if she doesn't care about her appearance, how much do you think she will care about you?
The fundamental problem with this argument is that someone leaving their natural color is "stopping caring" about her appearance. There is a point where it looks ridiculous for someone to have blond or black hair.
That point is nowhere before the age of 60. But you commonly see it in women who are not even 40 or 50. It does not require much effort to color your hair. They simply stopped caring.

Nothing screams “I do not care how bad I look now - I am just O-L-D!!” than a woman who is letting her gray roots grow in or has that dull, gray dishwater colored hair.
Keeping your grays properly colored (even if it has to be done every ten days or so) shows a man that you care.
It keeps you looking polished and shows that you are not ready yet to let your old age take over you.
However after 65+, you can let your grays show.
Because at that stage of life, everyone and their Mother know that you likely are 💯% gray and that even if you color your mane, your skin will contradict it.
Said no man, ever.
This is written by a woman, as, I suspect, most of these comments.
I doubt it. I'm a man, and I agree with it. Gray hair is how women over 35 say, "I've given up".
I know a guy who told me that he knew it was shallow, but hated that the woman he was dating didn't color her grey hair. She was in late 40s. I said. "yeah, don't ever say that out loud again."

Anonymous wrote:Specifically what is within a woman's CONTROL.
She can't just "be your preferred height," "be Asian or Latina," or "never age over 30." Given that you can't change your race, bone structure, or stop the aging process, what is within a woman's reasonable (not crazy plastic surgery) control to maximize and maintain her attractiveness? Such as: fitness, grooming, being more natural vs. being more high maintenance, smiling and having good teeth, expensive closing (or not?)
