Why do people assume that because he is young, he can’t simply be a perv himself? You do realize that old pedophiles were once young pedophiles, right? Older kids and teens abusing younger kids is very common. I'm not saying that's necessarily what's happening here, but remember that the stereotype of a creepy middle-aged guy wearing dated Jeffrey Dahmer eyeglasses is misleading.

Did it say the kid was talking to the stranger? I have a three year old and I hold her hand in crowded places but if a man ran really fast behind us and grabbed her he certainly could.

I didn't see any reports that the kid was talking to a stranger. But even if he was, so what. We don't teach our kids not to talk to strangers. We're not that paranoid.
