Have you read this thread??? I’m having trouble believing you are a real person.
Literally nothing said before this post contradicts this. Nothing matters more to republicans than party loyalty and identity. Dead children, be damned.
One thing republicans have in common is that they can’t understand anything until they go through it themselves. They can’t tolerate abortion until their daughter needs one. They can’t stand interracial marriage until their niece marries a “nice black guy”. Healthcare isn’t a right until they lose their insurance. Unemployment is an “entitlement” until they lose their jobs. Everyone else is lazy, irresponsible, and looking for a handout, but they and their families are deserving and they are an exception.
Real person sick of the BS. Republicans support domestic terrorism. No decent person who understands government still supports them.
This is hyperbole, but essentially the righteousness you are referring to is a thing, it's easy to blame others and be less empathetic until it happens to you. But same can be said about Democrats, no? Most highly polarized opinions are lacking empathy by definition, because real life always has fine lines and gray zones.
No, the same thing cannot be said of democrats.

Are these people being pushed out of bed? No. People have the option of installing a railing to keep them in bed if this is an important issue to them.
It’s not just school shootings. Guns need to be regulated.
Please be real. The chances of being in a school shooting are lower than dying from a car or bus crash to or from school. That does not mean ignore it. But please keep in perspective.
Guns are the leading cause of death for children in the US PP. this is not JUST about school shootings. This is about reducing the number of guns out there to protect kids everywhere, not just at school.
Yes, don’t let them narrow the issue to “just” school shootings. This is so much bigger than that. Gun violence is a leading cause of death among young children.
Can you please provide the link to reputable statistics source which also includes health related issues, drownings and car accidents. I am not negating, I want to see the proof.

And by the way, the Parkland officer ran away from the school too.
These police officers are probably men who have grown up believing that they would be able to shoot the bad guys. Ha.
It would appear that cowardice on their part was a major factor.
This is also probably related to the fear of shooting kids accidentally which would make them face trials potentially. So, yeah, it's cowardice, but not necessarily because they were afraid to be shot, they were way better equipped than unarmed parents rushing into the building. It's because they were afraid to be facing legal scrutiny of their actions if they were to cause the death of a child directly vs. indirectly when shooter kills them. Yeah, I know, grasping at straws here.
IMO, the past couple of years of demonizing cops has left us with the cowards. The best cops have left the field and anybody with half a brain isn't interested in joining either.

This reminds me of the same thing. There’s a real streak of cruelty and selfishness in many Americans. They don’t care if it’s not their kid. They have trouble even imagining that or showing any empathy.
Republicans lack empathy and imagination.
The only scenarios they can envision are
sluts aborting cherubic, healthy babies
And heroic men saving the day with an assault weapon.
LOL, I would love to read similar hyperbolic tirade only from the other side, let me try:
Democrats lack empathy and imagination.
The only scenarios they can envision are
women subjugated like in Handmaid's Tale
And unhinged men with assault rifles skulking around like in the old days of Wild Wild West
Lol you suck at analogies. Lol!

You are an idiot. I don't know what to say. Please go back to school, and I pray that you develop some critical thinking skills.
So here's the thing. I actually live in Mexico right now so I understand this dynamic probably better than anyone here. In fact I'll double down: gun control is definitely not the answer.
The problem is Mexico’s neighbor has zero gun regulation.
+1
My god, the myopia.
