Trump signs. Confederate flags. Blue line flags. Gun racks on pickup trucks.
My Bethesda neighborhood has none of that yet 3 people on my block were Trump appointees. And at least 3 more people are Republican. Does that make it Trumpy?

Anonymous wrote:FTR I couldn't care less if they are cool with living in a Trumpy neighborhood but I genuinely can't tell if they actually know. I asked her what they think of it and they said their friends live in the next town over and they like it so it must be fine. They are liberal/progressive if that is not obvious.

y’all are defending people who support a man who tried to stage a coup of the freaking government and overturn an election.
But as long as your neighbors want and bring you some apple pie that’s just fine.
Whew! European Americans are a fascinating bunch.

My friend and I are close and they are not fans of Trump supporters' political beliefs. I don't think she would mind living around people who simply have different beliefs, but what I have read goes beyond people just thinking differently. It's one thing to disagree about politics, it's another to live in a neighborhood where people actively dislike people for wearing masks, or who want to censor certain types of books/speech in the schools.
What does "actively disliking" people for wearing masks look like in an neighborhood? Can you please give us an example of this "active" disliking?
Why hello time traveler from 2019. You may want to update yourself on the politics of masking in 2022. "As mask mandates are loosened, Americans who opt to continue wearing face masks face harassment | Salon.com" https://www.salon.com/2022/03/08/mask-shaming-desantis/
People that chose not to wear a mask have already lived through that harassment for over 2 years. it’s not ok either way but don’t think it’s only happening to you, you just didn’t care when it happened before because it didn’t effect you.

Yeah, I'm liberal as hell, but I have conservative friends and family. I have no Trumpy friends or family, because my friends and family are not cult members.

So you’re basing a judgement on what you’ve read about a town/city in a state you don’t live in? Don’t you have other things to worry about? And besides, what do you care? You don’t have to live there.
Congratulate your friend on their purchase and MYOB.
lol whut?
That's like saying "you can't judge the climate in Ukraine right now because you don't live there."
