If she really wants to pursue Bio and needs organic chemistry, maybe she could retake it over the summer - she could give it her full attention without competing classes.

Lots of health majors require chemistry. Most struggle with organic chemistry but get past it and continue to reach their goal. I think there is too much pressure that every grade has to be perfect to keep the GPA high. So many people have to take organic chemistry but struggle. Don’t let one class hold her back if she truly loves Biology.

My mom thought she was going to be a chem major in college. She got a 'D' in the intro course and switched to poli sci. She had a very successful career with the federal government, from which she derived a lot of satisfaction and pride.

My understanding is that it is not easy to get a good job in it without a PhD.

I agree that public health is a great route.
One of its' five core disciplines is "Social and Behavioral Sciences" (the people who study why some of us won't get vaccinated,for example. Smoking prevention, condom use, getting people to wear bike helmets, etc).
Another public health option, for the student who liked Anthropology: Global Health.
