Many of thebuildings are being redone. There is a ton of construction on campus, as we speak.

For Georgetown, it's the weak endowment. It affects everything - from maintenance and renovations to financial aid. It has a disproportionate number of wealthy students, including many that are international, and not a lot of middle or upper middle class students. It affects the vibe and can be off-putting. Also, besides business and foreign affairs, it's not that strong academically. At least not enough to justify a T25 ranking. It feels like its glory years are in the rear view mirror.

Because of the infamous college chant - Georgetown sucks.

GWU used to be a solid school - went rapidly downhill starting in the late 1980s. Still not on its way back

AU went woke big time, looks like they made a good hire as new president so hopefully on their way back.

This is how I feel about secular institutions. I firmly believe nobody is getting a well rounded education without philosophy and theology requirements involved with an overall curriculum. After I saw AU’s core curriculum it was quite frightening.

But the claim that "everything" is broken and full of rats/mold and so on is just silly. A lot of buildings could use some sprucing up, but the place is perfectly habitable, and I've never encountered any rats (except in the aforementioned administration!).

Things like that Instagram account are like all online reviews: usually people don't bother to post unless their views are extreme, and people who are extremely negative post more than people who are extremely positive.


They are spending millions on the hospital now. Maybe the dorms are next.
