That's pretty good for the immigrants who are already here. I worked hr in retail and worked with many who wanted to up their pay but refused to learn english for their next role.

As of this morning according to the local New the undisclosed number of busses are heading to DC with the immigrants.
What next? I realize that there is a reality that has only been marginally impacting us, but how is DC going to address this or even absorb hundreds of undocumented workers?is this transparent to city resources. As most will be Latino do existing groups have the capacity to receive these workers, house them, explain the immigration process and work with them throughout their next year of legal appointments?
Texas indicates this is only the beginning. How many can DC welcome?

Neither Rs or Ds address the fact that tons of businesses employ illegal immigrants and cut costs that way. They don’t go after the businesses or UMC/rich who employ undocumented immigrants.

I thank Abbott as we got one of our best fed staff from Texas after they experienced massive damage to their very cold house in Texas due to the pipes freezing while Ted went to Cancun.

I’m from Texas and while I like many things about DC, I can promise you that very few people who live down south are pining for life under Bowser, sans any real representation, being forced to listen to people talk about themselves and what they believe. Pick your poison.

Most people who work as feds can't afford to live in DC proper pp. My coworker has electricity most of the year in VA now, and they seem perfectly happy.
I'm sure there will be more than a few women who end up with miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies who wish to come on up to live in Maryland eventually as well.
