You have not lost anything. And you don’t need to travel, you want to.
Tell that to people who haven't seen their family in over 2 years. Except for our nuclear family everybody is abroad. But I guess being able to see family means nothing to you.
I have not seen my family. I rarely see anyone s I cannot risk Covid. Except groceries or pharmacy, I have been home. My kids are in virtual. I have lost far more than most.
What school district is still doing virtual instruction?
Mcps has virtual academy as an option this year. Guessing that's what they mean.
Virtual Virginia has been around for ages. Plus there are virtual charters in Dc.

\\Anonymous wrote:My family of five ALL tested positive Wednesday and are all symptomatic to varying degrees. Two vaccinated and boosted adults, one vaccinated elementary kid, two in daycare. My husband is the only one who went to the doctor, so his case will be the only one reported. There doesn’t seem to be a system in place at this point to report positives from home tests. I put very little trust in the official case numbers.

My kids are pretty sick with covid right now. The vaccines are a farce. And don't tell me how much worse it would be without the shots.
I’m sorry your kids are sick. The vaccines didn’t work well in your experience and that sucks, but that’s not data. That’s an anecdote.

Didn’t wear a mask for five days of drinking on Bourbon Street and was in a stadium with 10,000 of my closest unmasked friends. Did I get COVID? Eh, maybe? Who knows. I’m feeling fine and have no plans to test. Only in DC (and maybe Portland?) are people so uptight about COVID now.
I think the people who are most concerned are those of us:
-Caring for an elderly or immunocompromised loved one
-Have an infant or toddler with health issues
-Can’t travel if we test positive
LOL no the most uptight people I know don't fall into those categories at all. They're way too Covid-cautious to travel!
Do they have other health conditions? The most COVID cautious people I know (including me) either have themselves or have family members who have medical conditions like POTS, fibromyalgia, Ehlers-Danlos, or Hashimotos, or any medical condition with which they struggled for years without a diagnosis or effective treatment, and who are afraid that contracting COVID could result in piling more debilitating symptoms on top of what they already live with. If that isn't you, you are lucky.
This. It took me decades of illness to be diagnosed with celiac and still feel sick half the time. And now pregnant after many fertility treatments and a loss, not worth risking it.

Fairfax county April 1, 7 day average: 104.
Yesterday it was 127.
This data likely doesn't include home rapid tests. . . .
And in DC is only updated weekly
