This has got to be one of the most ridiculous threads ever here on DCUM, and that’s saying a lot. Nowhere have I heard as many gross references and language as on LWNJ posts. I realize you’re (conveniently) only calling out *elected* Republicans, but that in no way excuses the blatant hypocrisy of never calling out your fellow posters. Some of you are unable to write a post without injecting your own special breed of vulgarity and trying to pass it off as wit.
As for Cawthorne, I’m no fan of his but didn’t realize “cocaine” and “orgies” were bad words. Get out the fainting couches!

Clinton DID gross things but I am not talking about what Trump or Cawthorn DID. I’m talking about how they DESCRIBE it.
Clinton describing anything under oath doesn’t count because he was forced to do that. Otherwise, he didn’t go around to the press talking about orgies.
Trump freely brings up gross descriptions to the press. It’s Republicans who talk to the press about their (projected) sex lives—way more than Democrats.
Trump even got it out into the press that Marla said he was the best sex she ever had. Trump planted the quote to make himself look good.
This is pretty hysterical considering he had to talk about what he had done.
Nothing like explaining oral sex, BJs and what a man does with a cigar and a woman to kids.
And who asked about it to bring it into the public discourse? Republicans, of course! Meanwhile, they went to town with their own mistresses while clutching their pearls.

I think that Trump really enabled people to feel more comfortable using vile language in public. I agree that Republicans have been worse in this regard, although Democrats do it too.

A gay 1st grade teacher can’t share information about his family?
LOL.... your precious little one will learn more on the bus and playground than they will from a teacher- grow up. My child's teacher is gay and has two kids. He showed us pictures and it warmed my heart to see how much love there was in his life. Just STOP with your homophobic attitude or here's an idea send your kid to a small christian school where everyone is close minded like you!
