You’re an adult. You can handle this.

Yup. I sure can. I'm all good. Merely contributing to a conversation.
And your point is?

+1 We got what we believed was correct and we should just be pleased our children can finally remove their masks. Let's move on rather than trying to do some sort of end zone celebration about it.
I am not. I am a teacher and wanted the option. I’m actually afraid of the reaction tomorrow. There have been some nasty comments already about fellow teachers being maskless.
Nasty comments from fellow staff? I haven’t noticed that. I was thinking a good number of staff will be without masks tomorrow. Of course I realize it will vary by school.

Yes. I’ve heard through the grapevine teachers making comments about what they think of co workers who won’t mask.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I live that teachers have the option too. It will make it easier for kids to unmask.
+1. It was dumb to say that teachers still had to wear it when kids didn't.
You may think it was dumb, but FCPS had to follow the law.
Teachers were under a different rule set by the Virginia Department of Labor. The legislation that passed recently only applied to students and went into effect on Tuesday. Now that the CDC has adjusted its guidelines, employees are no longer required to mask.
Arlington is still requiring all staff to mask, as far as I know.

It’s not a win until all masks are banned from schools.
