Nope, my son is over cocky and it wasn’t his first choice. I can bet he expressed that. He was accepted into Gonzaga so it worked out.

Think of it as a wait pool, not a wait list. If they need to pull from it, they’ll try and find the right student (gender, interests, etc). It’s not ranked necessarily.
and if you will go if you get off the waitlist no matter what - make sure they know this.

Think of it as a wait pool, not a wait list. If they need to pull from it, they’ll try and find the right student (gender, interests, etc). It’s not ranked necessarily.

I don't think any schools have numbered waitlists.
If students turn them down, they look and see if there's a pattern and fill gaps. So, maybe they lost more boys and admit a boy. Maybe they lost more girls basketball players and admit a girls basketball player.

Just remember whether or not your child was accepted is not a reflection of his ability, there are just not enough seats of every qualified applicant. Your DS will thrive wherever he goes...best wishes.
