There is nothing ironic about it. People who suffer from panic disorder are obviously more likely to have researched and experimented with different ways of treating or managing it.

It’s as much a failed ideology as cognitive behavior therapy or any modern day therapy. Because much of what we consider effective today is based on Stoicism.

Stoic philosophy has a lot that works for anxiety. CBT owes a lot to Stoicism. The fact that it didn't work for one particular individual doesn't really tell you that it has "failed."

And that's without defending Peterson, he's not the place to go to learn about Stoicism, but it does work for a lot of people.
