I don't know much about the IB Kennedy and there are no much data because it seems to be a new program.
I am considering an appeal to have both boys at CAP. Blair is the home school.

The point of the IB is that there is no difference. Possibly some schools offer more HL choices than others, or different SL electives but that's also subject to interest. The core programs are the same.

That kid didn't apply RMIB. The parents said (or heard rumors) that RMIB got watered down and lost a couple of good teachers in recent years.

One of our friend's kid just got into both RM and Blair. 300 on MAP-M, 268 on MAP-R.
Another data point: Blair STEM, MAP-M 293, MAP-R 248.
I assume was not accepted at RMIB?

MAP-R 248 might be a bit low for IB?
Definitely low for IB.
I am really surprised on the MAP-R score of 248 getting into magnet. I know there are several 5th graders who score around 250 +/- 5 now a days. Is this a different MAP R?
PP said DC got into Blair with MAP-M 293, MAP-R 248. It makes sense that they look at MAP-M more because of the math/science curriculum. DC could also be in-boundary.

I'm assuming the email is wrong, but wondering if anybody else has had the same thing happen. Looks like they also sent the email to my kid, so I'm hoping kid doesn't notice it and get confused or excited until we find out what's going on.
Parentvue last night said my child was wait pooled @ CAP. But this afternoon I received an email saying he is in..... Confused as well.
Where are you guys seeing this in Parentvue?
The original "not selected" was in the High School Program Results Letter in documents in ParentVue. The "welcome to CAP" message today was an email sent to my email and to my kid's MCPS email.
