Percentage?
Not a percentage but the notice said the school is increasing the financial aid budget at a rate at least equal to the tuition increase and establishing a financial aid contingency owing to the inflationary environment.

Tell me more about these lowering standards? Considering applying for next year (though slightly less thrilled about it now)
There are no lowering standards. Total nonsense peddled by a disgruntled anti-mask mom
NP but yes they are. It’s not the same rigor and absolutely no creativity on the teachers part. Most not all just go thru the motions of being there. The thinking , investigating on topics and fun is all gone.

Not enough.
15 year teacher 70-80ish
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I am not paying for that increase. I am done with this school. Somebody else can take my kid’s seat.
where are you going?
Nowhere. All the comparative schools in the city raised their prices last year, boarding school is more expensive, and public schools is worst off.

There is zero chance that they are giving staff salary increases anywhere near that. Because salaries are the biggest expense, there is zero chance that there expense rose 6-7%
You sure about that? Its only 6% and Houston Public Schools gave their teachers bonuses of $4,500. So did Atlanta - $4,000. Both increases are around 5% of pay. I heard FCPS gave bonuses as well but don't know how much.

Anonymous wrote:Plus Sidwell applied for and gladly accepted approx $5 million in PPP dollars! Other top secondary schools in the DMV did not even apply, nor should they have.
