Those are just "okay" to me. The shape and style don't really speak to me. I'm in my 40s and like pearls, though, so take that for what it's worth.

These are all fun and fine but not big milestone event gifts where the budget is $500+

I think they are a good choice, OP, and much better than the hoops and olive pearls others linked to. NYC banking is conservative and she can buy those other "hip" brands on her own. Tiffany is a great idea for a special graduation gift.

My DD who is a junior in college has very vintage and eclectic taste and wears all of my old Tiffany jewelry- the silver heart necklace, the silver bracelet with Tiffany tag that everyone wore 30 years ago and Elsa P earrings.

I don't like these earrings, and yes, sterling silver is awful looking when it tarnishes. My husband bought me once a ring from Tiffany, because he thought that every woman would like to have something from that brand. Well, I don't care for that ring and hate cleaning it when it tarnishes. I would at least let niece pick her own jewelry in that store.

Actually I think OP is on the right track. I worked in nyc banking for years and still work with various banking teams, albeit from the other side now. This is actually exactly what the analysts wear. They almost all have nice watches (graduation gifts or buy them for themselves w/ their signing bonuses) and then Tiffany silver earrings. They’ll rotate them with diamond studs.
