Hello Madison Cawthorn or Boebert or all the other GOP Christmas cards posting guns with kids
2nd amendment supporter however the gOP has gone insane who uses guns at school to kill or threatens to bring them to school board meetings
Adults do stupid things what do you expect from kids?
MCOS is not responsible for your kid getting a gun you are
Oh and how about our resident loud mouth Alex Jones GOP 100% said Sandy hook never happened who the hell stands with that garbage. Adam Lanza parents failed those kids! Columbine same zero empathy

I feel bad for all these kids who have had to live through this pandemic and now have this trauma on top of it. I hope that MCPS is able to at least provide counseling, if it’s capable of doing anything but I’m not holding out hope.
I’m just absolutely done with the this school system.
Quit your racist drivel. This is NOT McKnight’s fault.
MCPS has been broken for years. Before McKnight came to be in charge.
The buck stops with her.
Must be nice to just blame one’s failures on someone else or just society generally. I would be interested to hear what exactly we are allowed to hold her accountable for.
Did she show up at the school? Is she seeing the students as they are dismissed? Has she said a single word or is she hiding behind MCPS says so her name is not associated with this bad news?

Omg that’s exactly what I was thinking! Nothing a round table discussion including hot cocoa and a hug can’t cure.
Actually that might be really helpful. Some of these kids never had any real love, especially if they have been raised in gang banging family members or drugs fueled families. Shame on both of you posters for your lack of empathy.

You do recognize that these issues are not unique to MCPS, don't you?

Parents/advocates fought against things like SRO's and metal detectors. What exactly can MCPS do in terms of safety if people don't want more security and are demanding less. What is MCPS supposed to do when many parents are checked out and don't care? What is MCPS supposed to do when there are no consequences, no discipline and all they can do is give kids a talking to? There are many people to blame here and lets start with the parents.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear everyone is okay. I know that everyone processes these types of things differently so I hope that there are no lingering psychological scars.

Anonymous wrote:“Health related incident”? Who approved that message from MCPS? The communication issues persist. Just terrible leadership. Absolutely have learned nothing from the last month and think they can lie their way through a school shooting while we are all looking at video of a SWAT team entering the building.

Suspect is in custody
That’s good news. Kids still reporting being under lockdown though. Don’t understand why.
