As much as I agree that certain foreign actors loved Trump, I’m not sure I see any foreign influence here. We did this to ourselves, IMO.

Oh please, follow the money.

Read trhe article....the author is a dolt and the headline is buried deep. It isn't what the headline suggests.

Crazy thing is reading headlines on WaPo that say the investigation doesn’t seem to directly pursue Trump. Hahaha. Okay headline writer.

She mentions emptywheel.net (Marcy Wheeler) which I read from time to time. Her stuff is extremely granular to the point where my brain rolls over like a bug drowned in Raid, but plenty of pointing out, especially lately, about WaPo (and others) avoiding the pursuit.

I'd been waiting a long time for Rhodes to get arrested. . .

It’s odd. I don’t understand it but maybe the papers are keeping their powder dry for the big stuff

He’s back to holding superspreader events to kill off his unvaccinated supporters.

So then we will have all these paramilitary people fresh out of jail ready for a full bore assault in the name of retribution. And a GOP president would give them that authority.

Woo hoo, I am looking forward to THAT day!

They will be released and given jobs in the 2nd trump administration. A few will be put up for the Supreme Court.

Good article on Rhodes' background https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/founder-far-right-militia-once-warned-federal-tyranny-then-came-n1256546

How did he lose his eye? Earlier photos don't show the eye patch. Was there a suicide attempt? They better watch him.

He lost it with a misfire with his own gun.

A gun you say? Seems ironic. Maybe gun owners should be required to have training. To be clear I've fired thousands of rounds on dozens of ranges with tens of different firearms and have never seen a "misfire" injure anyone. It sounds like a story.

The article said he was a firearms instructor. He dropped a loaded handgun and shot himself.

Handguns don't discharge when you drop them. Sometimes shotguns do. I think the snowflake tried to end it and reconsidered after he was saved. His wife was home at the time. His behavior suggests he tried to take himself out. What a coward. This is their leader. Would you follow a suicidal commander into battle?

Excerpt from Elmer Stewart Rhode's wife's petition for an order of protection in 2018:

" In summer 2016 grabbed my teenager daughter by the throat until stopped by my son. In 2013, pointed a loaded, chambered handgun at his own head. In 2016 did this again but this time with much more gun waving and more angry words before he eventually pointed at his head. Also did this three more times, each time increasing the threat level to me, by waving the gun around a little more each time before claiming he was suicidal."
