She doesn’t particularly seem to want to live her life in the spotlight anymore and he seems like he is in his prime and loving it. That alone seems like it could/would easily lead to divorce.

I admit I fell for the "happy love story" -- especially when he gave her his velvet tux jacket at some award show last year, I think.

Very sad to hear about this breakup. It sounded like he worshiped her.

Pretty much all PR "we're so happy" is bs. And I fell for it this time!

Same here! I've always admired her grace and how she's aging. I've admired his warmth - the guy is smoking hot but it's the twinkle in his eyes that gives me delicious shivers. Reminds me of Gene Kelly's twinkle.

Lisa is not exactly traditional so it would not surprise me if they always had a form of open marriage. But every open relationship has rules and he may have broken them. Or they just aren’t getting along for other reasons. Or she’s going through menopause and is now extremely irritated by his whole schtick or is sick of doing the emotional labor or whatever.
