This was the rule in my DD's classroom last spring. They were allowed to drink from a bottle with a straw as long as the straw could slide under their mask without removing the straw.
That seems reasonable to me.
While restaurants, bars and gyms are wide open. This child abuse at this point. So ridiculous.
Everyone is getting COVID. My husband has it right now. It is a cold. And yes, I'm definitely still sending the kids to school and we're not doing dumb testing either.
Wait...your husband has Covid right now, and you're still sending your kids to school without testing for it?? Do you even wear a mask?

That’s true if they don’t have symptoms and they are vaccinated.
That's what I was thinking too. Vaccinated, close contacts who are asymptomatic don't have to quarantine. That's my understanding.

In Florida, healthy kids go to school. No close contact BS.
Bring on Youngkin. Dr Marty Makary of John Hopkins is leading his medical transition team and he’s very vocal about people needing to live with COVID like we do 200 other endemic respiratory viruses (especially kids, who are statistically 0 risk of death), masking needing to be a parental choice, and children needing to live normal childhoods again.
If you have an irrational fear of COVID, that needs to be on you and your family. Can’t wait for the new governor

Holy sh1t!!! WTF is wrong with people?!
This is a cold people. We’re laughing at home about how kids are doing this over a cold. But adults can do whatever they want though. It’s all one huge blue state joke.
Yes, of course we’re sending our kids to school and not testing them. We don’t test asymptomatic people for the flu, which is more dangerous to kids, especially kids under 5. Same with RSV.
My child is not sick and they’re going to school. If they get sick, they’re staying home.
